Advanced training course:

 

Contemporary dance

 

Tanzhaus Graz is offering a certified course in contemporary dance for the first time from fall 2023 in cooperation with the Anton Bruckner University Linz and Tanz Graz.

 

The course lasts four semesters and takes place monthly on an intensive weekend (Saturday & Sunday). It is aimed at all dancers who want to persue a professional career or would like to engage more intensively with contemporary dance.

 

The curriculum includes technique(contemporary dance, ballet, interdisciplinary styles) as well as tools for the creative process (improvisation, composition, research) and for creatingperforming arts(choreography, dramaturgy). The focus is on contemporary dance and classical ballet.

 

Prerequisites

  • Dancers who are aiming for a professional career or are interested in contemporary dance and would like to deepen their knowledge. Previous knowledge is desirable.
  • For dancers aged 14 and over.
  • Participation in the 1st intensive weekend in September 2023 is considered successful admission to the course
